From September to December 2025, I worked as a communications intern for Road Scholar’s marketing team, honing my writing, editing, and proofreading skills. There, I wrote nearly 50 emails. I also compiled quality testimonials to pair with written material, wrote copy for brochures, and attended production meetings. Lastly, I also researched and wrote two blogs, keeping the company’s themes and style guidelines in mind:

From October to December 2022, I interned at Cincinnati Public Radio, Cincinnati's NPR affiliate. Through this experience, I learned how to research topics, craft compelling headlines, and write and edit accessible articles according to AP and NPR’s style guides. By shadowing reporters, marketing managers, social media experts, and website designers, I familiarized myself with the ins and outs of journalism and marketing for a non-profit media organization.
Articles:
“For the first time, Covington scores 100% on Human Rights Campaign's equality index”
“Classes resume at Riverview East Academy after lockdown where no gun is found”

Lastly, I wrote an article about the journal’s history and evolution.

At the Nature Center, I worked in a group to create three different signs: a main, relatively general static sign (green sign) that could be placed near different restoration projects, a sign focused on the invasive Amur Honeysuckle (first blue sign), and a sign to highlight the benefits of native plants (second blue sign). The goal of these signs is to educate visitors on the Nature Center's current restoration work, instruct them to stay on the trail, and encourage them to implement restoration efforts in their own yards.
